Nidhi Srivastava

Nidhi Srivastava is a professional canine trainer, voracious reader, and an aspiring writer. Her love for animals and nature originates in a childhood spent in the lush lap of nature in Meghalaya, and perhaps, reading too many Enid Blytons. Her passion for canine welfare has culminated in the set-up of her successful venture called Doggiversity (http://doggiversity.com).
Nidhi has worked with several NGOs on issues ranging from adolescent concerns, animal rescue and rehabilitation, and women's rights. She is best known for the book club she started in 2015 called Bring Your Own Book club (https://www.bringyourownbook.org) that now has chapters in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune and pop-ups in many other cities. She is also certified in yoga training as well as basic counselling. Currently she is focussing on her work with dogs, with an interest in training them to qualify for animal-assisted therapy.
She is deeply concerned by the death of several thousands of terrestrial and marine animals, as well as avian beings caused solely due to the trash created by inconsiderate consumption of single-use plastics. It has led her to fight plastic pollution present in the environment with all the resources at her command.
